WELCOME TO KIDCITY!

Williamson County is home to almost 200,000 people with an average age of 37. More than 28 percent of residents are under the age of 18. Of those over 18, seven out of ten are married. It’s not hard to gather that Williamson County is full of families, so it’s vital that we have a top-notch ministry to families and children.

KidCity is Church of the City’s experience for infants through grade 5 and is held during all weekend services. Kids are invited to connect with God as they experience engaging and compelling Bible teaching, music, small group discussion and age-appropriate activities.

KidCity uses Orange curriculum. Click here for more info on Orange. If you’re a parent, click here to download the Parent Cue app, which provides a variety of ideas and resources to go deeper with your child around the ideas we’re exploring in KidCity.

SUNDAYS IN KIDCITY

Infants & Toddlers (1 adult per 2 kids) … interact with others, play with friends, listen to Bible stories and sing and move in worship.

Ages 2-3 (1 adult per 4 kids) … Kids play with others in a small-group setting before coming together to worship God through music and experience an age-appropriate, creative encounter with scripture. The time concludes with snack and further group activities.

Ages 4-5 (1 adult per 8 kids) … Kids play with others before coming together to worship God through music and experience an age-appropriate, creative encounter with scripture. The time concludes with snack and small-group activities that reinforce the day’s teaching.

K-3rd Grade (1 adult per 10 kids) … Kids experience a variety of activity stations before coming together to worship God through music. The Bible is then brought to life through a creative and compelling time of storytelling and large-group interaction. Kids then explore scripture together in consistent age and gender-specific small groups.

Grades 4-5 (1 adult per 10 kids) … Kids experience a variety of activity opportunities before coming together to worship God through music. A time of teaching is then followed by kids connecting with God and each other in age and gender-specific small groups.

FIRST TIME TO KIDCITY?

We suggest arriving 15-20 minutes early to allow adequate time to register your kids and get them to the appropriate areas. Once inside, look for the First-Time Families sign. All children must be dropped off by a parent in their area and picked up after the service by an adult with a matching claim tag. No child is released without a valid claim tag.

SECURITY

Safety is the top value in KidCity, it’s what allows everything else to happen. We are committed to protecting each and every child entrusted to us. All KidCity team members undergo an extensive protection process, including a background check, references and a personal interview. We use a secure check-in system to ensure kids are checked in and out by the same individuals. In addition to these measures, KidCity is also staffed by trained members of the Church of the City security team. These individuals patrol KidCity throughout the morning to ensure its safety and security.

KIDCITY TEAM

The KidCity team is a group of loving people who have been carefully screened and trained to care for children in a way that embodies the love of Christ for each child. If you’re interested in joining the KidCity team, please email kidcity@churchofthecity.com.
