June 3 – Kristi McLelland

Kristi McLelland is a speaker, teacher and professor at Williamson College and on staff at Church of the City. Since completing her Masters in Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary, she has dedicated her life to teaching people how to study the Bible for themselves, teaching, preaching, discipleship, writing about how God is better than we ever knew by teaching the Bible through a Middle Eastern lens. Her great desire for people to truly experience the love of God has birthed her desire to lead biblical study trips to Israel, Turkey & Greece.

June 10 – Annie F. Downs

Annie F. Downs is a bestselling author, speaker, and podcaster based in Nashville, Tennessee. Flawed but funny, she uses her words to highlight the everyday goodness of a real and present God. An author of multiple bestselling books- 100 Days To BraveLooking for LovelyLet’s All Be BravePerfectly Unique, and Speak Love, Annie also loves traveling around the country speaking at conferences, churches, and events. While Annie hosts the weekly popular That Sounds Fun Podcast, she is also a co-host on the long-running Relevant Podcast. Annie is a huge fan of bands with banjos, glitter, her community of friends, boiled peanuts, and soccer.

June 17 – Stephen Mansfield

Father’s Day

Stephen Mansfield is a New York Times bestselling author and a popular speaker who also leads a media training firm based in Washington, DC. Stephen speaks widely about men, leadership, faith, the lessons of history, and the forces that shape modern culture. His media training firm, The Mansfield Group, has worked with top politicians, CEOs, rock stars, major publishing firms, and educational institutions around the world.

June 24 – David Nassar

David Nasser was born in Iran but left the country with his family at age 9 during the Iranian Revolution. After almost a year in exile, his family moved to America. At age 18, he rejected his Muslim heritage and became a Christian. As one of the nation’s forefront speakers, David speaks to over 700,000 people each year using his God-given ability to reach the high tech, attention-lacking culture of Generation Next. The heart-cry of David’s ministry is to effectively present the same message, the Gospel of Christ, using fresh, post-modern methods. Founder of D. Nasser Outreach and Christ City Church, David now oversees Liberty University’s Office of Spiritual Development.

July 1 – Curtis Zackery

Curtis Zackery is a pastor of Church of the City who combines a passion for communication with a desire to see lives changed for Jesus Christ. His energetic stage presence, charismatic persona, and ability to connect with people of all ages, races, and backgrounds make him a sought-after event and conference speaker. CZ’s latest adventure has been writing his newest book, “Soul Rest.”

July 15 – Jo Saxton

Jo Saxton is an author, speaker, leadership coach, church planter and visionary, who empowers women, challenges societal stereotypes and helps people discover who they truly are, by seeing themselves the way God sees them. Born to Nigerian parents and raised in London, Jo brings a multi-cultural and international perspective to leadership. She has served on staff in multiple churches in the United Kingdom and the United States. Jo is currently the Chair of the Board for 3DM, a non-profit organization that equips churches in discipleship and mission, on the advisory board for Today’s Christian Woman, and co-hosts the popular podcast Lead Stories: Tales of Leadership in Life with Steph O’Brien.

July 22 – Jake Smith

Jake Smith Jr is one of the founding pastors of Church of the City. Currently he serves in a staff role as the Director of Discipleship developing environments that promote healing & spiritual transformation. His wife Alison is also a staff member, & together with their children–Coby, Jett, & Marley, are fully engaged Stakeholders of the church.

July 29 – Shane Farmer

Shane Farmer is the Senior Pastor of Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Originally from Oklahoma, Shane graduated Summa Cum Laude with his undergraduate degree in Communication and went on to Bethel Seminary for his master’s. Shane has a knack for making big churches feel small – fostering community and significant connection for people who find themselves in a megachurch context. Shane and his wife, Wendy, have been married since December 2001, and now have three sons; Josiah, Charlie, and Marshall.
